The right size matters
If the intended use is limited or the size of the washstand also determines the dimensions of a mixer, it is no longer possible to judge by the design of a mixer alone. The projection (the distance between the centre of the body of the fitting and the length of the spout) and the height of a fitting then determine not only the design of the washbasin but also the function of the whole. If the overall height of the fitting is too high or the projection is not suitably selected, the appearance suffers and annoying splashes of water are the result.
The herzbach S-size mixers have been specially developed for small washbasins. Pillar taps or cold-water mixers, on the other hand, do not have a mixing cartridge, but only supply cold water.
